1. Relief work Oct 2005 for northern earthquake areas

In Oct. 2005 an Earth Quake struck in northern Pakistan. Church of Christ, Pakistan went there for relief work and to help the effected people. We went in that area twice and First of all I want to express special thanks to Woodmont Hills church for sending a big sharing amount for earthquake victims. Our two trips to up on hills to effected area were successful. We are thankful to God that He took care of us in this trip and we came back home safe and sound.

All credit goes to Woodmont Hills Church for providing funds for Earth Quake victims as Lahore Church also join collecting many things for the effected victims. We bought quilts and blankets, flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil, tea leaves packet, Rusk, milk packs from the money Woodmont Hills Church of Christ sent. We prepared 100 packets, each packet contained 10 kg wheat flour, one kg rice, 1 kg sugar, 1 kg cooking oil, one tea leaves packet, one liter milk pack and 2kg Rusk.

We were team of seven persons and we all serve the victims actively. We hired a van and reached Qalandarabad and had breakfast in a restaurant. We start our travel again and reached inside Qalandarabad city and we saw horrible picture. Almost all the house seems to be smashed and fallen down. We reached in a Christian colony after open distribution in Qalandarabad city. We met 20 Christian families there. They were in a miserable condition and we gave them food items, quilts and blankets. Basically their houses were smashed and they were living in open ground because of regular Earth Quake shocks. After meeting with these families we went to Mansara city and after distribution of relief items we went to Murree hills for night stay and had dinner there.

Next morning we went to Kashmir and reached Muzaferabad city and saw that this city was smashed terribly. During traveling towards Kashmir, roads were damaged severely with big cracks from land sliding. We were searching Christian families because Christianity is banned in Muzaferabad; at last we met with a Pastor. With that Pastor we went to Christian home and found 12 families. We had a meeting there and gave them relief items. They requested us for financial help to build their homes and we told them that if God will allow us, next time we would come back for financial help. In the evening again we started our travel back to Lahore. When we reached near Murree we found 100 Kashmiri People staying in a shelter place, they all were Muslims and we had a wonderful meeting there, prayed for them, preach the word of God and then gave some food items and reached Lahore in the next morning. In this trip God helped us and arranged all things for us and we reached home safe and with good health.
